Striped Cigar Humidor

A commission for a Cigar Humidor designed to fit a range of cigar sizes, as well as all the necessary hardware involved in keeping the cigars humid. I decided to really go full on getting some expressive wood for the project, and I chose Zebrano for the main body of the box, and Wenge for the lid and detailing strips because of how both of the woods have a very defined grain compared to the rest of the timber. The inner box of the humidor is made from Cigar Box Cedar a ubiquitous material for humidors, Cigar Box Cedar is also known as Spanish Cedar although the name is a bit of a misnomer as the timber comes from Latin America, and the wood is related more closely to species of Mahogany.
